The
New Jersey Commission on Civil Rights is charged
with advising the Attorney General about the work
of the Division. The Commission is comprised of
seven members
appointed by the Governor who meet
monthly with the Division's executive staff.
The Commissioners survey the operations of the
Division and bring the Division ideas and information
that enhance the agency's reach and effectiveness.
Additionally, the Commission reports to the Governor
and the Legislature on matters relating to the
Division and its mission. The individual Commissioners
also support Division events, such as community
roundtables and conferences and serve as liaisons
to various communities across the State of New
Jersey. |
