L. Ron Hubbard's Illustrators of the Future Contest

Every quarter, prizes of $500 are awarded to each of three co-winners. The co-winners are eligible to compete in the annual contest for a $4,000 prize.  

Contestants may not have published more than three black-and-white story illustrations or one process-color painting in media distributed nationally to the general public (as in books or magazines).

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

50,000 students receive regional awards and exhibition opportunities. The Gold Portfolio Award recipients receive $10,000 scholarships.

9th – 12th

United States Academic Decathlon

Each team member competes in the following 10 events: fine arts, social science, economics, mathematics, science, essay, speech, interview, language & literature, and Super Quiz:
The United Nations.
